Daisy sighting in Malden on Dartmouth Street near the YMCA today (3-6-11) at 3:10pm.
Caller gave a good description and said as soon as they made eye contact Daisy bolted running towards Malden Square. Volunteers were dispatched including Daisy's owner Ann to help search for Daisy. She can travel 10+ miles a day and has many travel routes through Malden, Everett, Medford, Llinden Square and surrounding towns. Please remember if you see Daisy call 781-435-1740 or 617-974-7597 right away and note the direction Daisy was going and any landmarks. If you could program these 2 #'s or download her poster to your cell phone for quick acces that would be helpful. We need Daisy to stay in one area, so please don't try to chase or catch her as she is guarded and could run away and hurt herself. Once we have an established area that Daisy is returning to on a regular basis then ARL (Animal Rescue League) will take over her rescue.
Ann appreciates all your help in her search for Daisy! Keep the faith that Daisy will be reunited with her loving owner now that some good weather is approaching!

Near Rte 60 Plaza Eastern Ave Malden
Two sightings on Daisy! The 1st was on Commercial St Malden midday on 12-9-10 and the 2nd was on Eastern Ave & Maplewood by the Rte 60 Plaza in Malden on 12-17-10. Both callers say Daisy looks well fed, which means she is successful in finding food, not so good for us! We have to find Daisy's food source, as a feed staion is only good if she is unsuccessful in finding food and returns daily to the same area. So we're asking any kind person that feeds FERAL CATS to keep an eye out for Dasiy as this could be her food source. Once a food source is located and Daisy returns daily to it then Animal Rescue League of Boston will take over Daisy's rescue. Daisy is CATand DOG FRIENDLY but frightened of people. Please remember if you see Daisy DO NOT try to catch, chase or yell her name because Daisy is now feral. The best thing to do if you site Dasiy is to call the #'s with a time, location and what direction she was going. Please consider storing the sighting telephone #'s for Daisy in your cell phone for quick access. Thank You all for caring enough to keep an eye out for Daisy!
